Coaches, once you have coached youth baseball teams a few years you will learn that young players change tremendously season to season. Your players and their parents are all watching you and they all want a fresh start to the new season.

Ask Permission

These are solid reasons for stepping up to volunteer, but I think the first thing a parent should do is to sit down with their son or daughter and ask them for permission to be their coach.
