The teaching fundamentals the two of you brought to us, simplifies and takes a major component out of the picture for us… how to effectively schedule and run a practice!! Here in the northeast, time is of the essence, and by making every minute of practice count, can only pay off in huge dividends in game prep and game play.
Thanks Big Al! - Coach Tutt
I coached my son's 8 year old team this year but I initially declined to coach because I felt I lacked the baseball knowledge to help them progress. I gotta tell you, after your clinic, I felt completely different. I now feel like I have so much to offer them. I walked into the clinic as a Dad who loved his son and baseball and I walked out a coach.
You guys are great! - Coach Hill
I am a manager for a Rookie Team in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have had a lot of experience with baseball and really love the game. I was so impressed with your clinic and with the simplicity and ease of the methods you taught. During the break, I bought the coaches resources and a couple of days after the event, I bought the drills program. The results are amazing. All of my kids seem to be having a great time at practice and I think they are truly learning the skills.
Thanks! - Coach Friedlander
I had a chance to meet you at Petco Park in Feb. I thought your techniques on how to get 5-6 year olds to learn was very insightful. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in coaching at that level. I've played baseball for many years and I would have not known how to get the point across to a 5 year old with your instruction and tips to get them involved. If your teaching seminar comes back again I would love to attend, it taught me how to trick 5 year olds into learning how to play the game by just having fun. The kids really seem to respond and enjoy coming to practice and just have a blast at the games.
Thanks for the invaluable tips. – Coach KiImer
Dear Big Al, I coach one of the 9 year old boys teams on West Side Little League in Manhattan. I attended your clinic last Tuesday evening. I have attended many clinics over the past seven years and yours was far and away the best. I implemented your approach for keeping the kids busy and involved during our first practice today. It was the best I ever had. I suggested to our commissioner that he order your book and distribute them to all coaches. Of course I purchased your complete set of resources.
Thanks again - Coach Herman
Excellent training! Thank you for all the drills and ideas. I took by son (7) out in the back yard and we had a blast doing the drills. I feel like I'm finally going to be prepared to coach this year and I'm excited for the season. The resources really help me remember all the things you and Big Al talked about in the clinic.
Thanks again for everything – Coach Monette
Big Al, I just wanted to take a moment and send you a personal thank you and kudos for the outstanding clinic you presented to the managers and coaches this morning. I attended the early session and was thoroughly impressed with the ease with which you communicated each important lesson. My son, Tony, retired in June of 2009 from MLB and played from the Diamondbacks as his last team. Because of Tony, I've been fortunate to have spoken with and learned little tricks and tidbits from some of professional baseball's top managers and coaches. I felt that I know the game fairly well, yet you still showed me some innovations that I will definitely employ during my own instruction time. Without fear of contradiction, I can truly say that you are an astute educator as well as a knowledgeable and invaluable resource for all youth leaders such as those in your audience this day. I applaud you.
Best wishes as you continue forward. - Arthur Clark
I coached my son's 8 year old team last year but I declined to coach this year because I felt I lacked the baseball knowledge to help them progress as they got older. The league expressed to me that they really needed me to coach because they were lacking in good candidates. I agreed but I was hesitant. I didn't want the kids to lose out by having a coach who couldn't give them what they needed. I gotta tell you, after your clinic, I feel completely different. I now feel like I have so much to offer them. I walked into this as a Dad who loved his son and baseball and I walked out a coach. You guys are great and I hope to see you next year.
If you come back, I'll be there. - Coach Hill
Dear Al and Scott, I was at your Monday night clinic (1/31) in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. I am in my 14 year of teaching middle school PE and have been to numerous classes/clinics. Your baseball clinic by far is the best I have ever been to. I learned so much last night I can't even believe it. I thought you and Scott were very professional, funny and broke things down perfect. Thanks so much -
I just wanted to tell you how impressive last night was. –Coach Carlson
Big Al's Clinic? It was great! I enjoyed the company…It was the best hands on baseball techniques I've ever seen geared especially to our kids. It was educational, fun and absolutely worth the time! Our practices will be better focused on the right skill sets and habits to launch them into a higher level of play.
Thank you from me and my friends at ASWLL!! - Coach Hayes
Wow I was stunned at how great the program was. I attended your program yesterday afternoon in Folsom California and I have to tell you that when compared with many programs professionally in business, my career as a Fire Captain, or in my personal life you guys both HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK! Initially thinking I was attending some meeting or “how to” basic little league thing… I was pleasantly surprised to see the professionalism and ease at which you both prepared your programs. A parent/ coach would be crazy to not take what they learned from the both of you and present it to their teams. In fact, I was thinking how really the simple principles you lay out apply to all other youth athletics as well. Simple, prepared, organized and fun while incorporating all the skills. Way to go guys and I thank you for your wisdom and experience.
This program should be mandatory for all youth programs!!!!!!!! Regards – Coach Quinn
I went to the Big Al class last night. I have to be honest. I was not really looking forward to this four hour session. I am glad I went with an open mind. I think this is one of the best classes I have ever taken on anything. It was clearly drinking from the fire hose. They presented a lot of information - but it was all relevant…and, I am going to be able to use everything. I took notes and I bought the Big Al coaching resources. This is a great session. I think this is really going to help me do a better job with the kids and actually be able to TEACH them skills.
Thanks for getting us access to this session. I know this is really going to help me work with the kids this season. – Coach Healy
